GAINESVILLE/TALLAHASSEE SHOWDOWN -- Last Friday's show at Floyd's was very cool. A diverse collection of groups took the stage and entertained what seemed to be a 50/50 Hogtown to Tally crowd. Be sure to check out G-ville's own Liquid Vinyl as soon as possible. Very cool bunch of lads with a great sound. Special thanks to all of you who showed up to cheer on the HM and buy some swag.
LIVE MP3 FILES ARE UP! -- Check out the link to the left and start your downloading. The MP3 files made from a recent live recording are finally up. We'll be uploading a few more every week, so check back often. Aquil says, "The recording is so fat and juicy you wish you could stick a straw in it." Thanks to Eddie Vertuno, Pete Winter, and Erik Tamplin for making this happen. Call Meathead at x101.5 (386-3101) and request the live version of "Swimming." We dare you.
BIG SHOW THIS FRIDAY -- If you're in Tallahassee and you listen to x101.5 regularly (and you should), you've probably heard the spot promoting the big show this weekend at Floyd's. Come out and support local bands Core, Relic and the HM as they share the stage with some hot Gainesville bands. BE THERE!!!
ROCK AIN'T DEAD -- If you made it out to the show this past weekend at Floyd's you caught a great one. If not...wait a bit and you'll be able to download the tunes here for free. Thanks so much to everyone who cheered on the HM to a new level. The mix should happen soon, and the upload soon after that. Check back often and thanks to the fans, friends, family, Stash, Kati Shardl, Break Magazine, Eddie Vertuno, Pete Winter, Floyd's/John Robertson, and the two lesbian dancers who almost stole the show!
HANK MADISON TO RECORD LIVE SHOW -- They'll be wheeling in more than their amps and drums for the Tallahassee show at Floyd's on October 14th. Hank Madison is going to record the show with the help of Pete Winter (who else?) and Eddie Vertuno. "Our plans are to get the set on tape and mixdown the tunes that turnout okay. From there we'll make the MP3s available for free on the website," says Tripp Lanier. When asked why? "Well, we've got some new material and the older stuff is still evolving, too. We should put it out there and show the growth of the group as a live act. We're constantly hearing that we're better live than on CD so this makes sense to us, and the technology makes it available for free so it's a no-brainer." Be sure to take part of this event at Floyd's Music Store on Saturday October 14th.
THIS JUST IN!!! Stash will be joining HM for the show. Come early!
CLEARWATER REPORT -- The boys had a great show at Gasoline Alley on the 22nd. After a burning set, the crowd demanded more and HM delivered their first encore ("Was I Your Man?"). Tripp Lanier had this to say, "I'm a pretty mellow guy, but for the first time ever, I felt like knocking everything off the stage that night. We just went for it, and the crowd was there for us." Thanks to the staff at Gasoline Alley and all the HM fans who made it out to the show. Be sure to check them out there on December 2nd.
MORE HANK GIGS! -- Shows in Orlando and Tallahassee will be followed by this week's event in Clearwater. See the info below about two more Tallahassee gigs. Last Friday's show at Floyd's was great. Spotted in the crowd were friends from as far away as Michigan and New York, and certified Rock Star drummer, Stan Turner (Mile) was there to catch the show as well. Special thanks to Floyd's and Eddie Vertuno for doing an awesome job.
MOVING THE DISCS -- Hank Madison's partnership with CDStreet.com is getting the band some distribution. Worldwide domination is close with recent orders in Hawaii and Germany. The band is striving to be huge in Guam.
HANK MADISON IN ORLANDO -- Hank Madison and Orlando's Parafanelia rocked the Barbarella in downtown O-town. The skies cleared just in time for the show, and the semi-outdoor performance was a great opportunity for both bands to make new fans. Special thanks to Chad P., the guys in Parafanelia, Barbarella, and those of you who came out to the show (and had to drive several hours to do so).
HANK MADISON LIVE ON THE RADIO -- Hank Madison members Aquil Salih and Tripp Lanier were on WXSR's "Underground Lounge" this past Sunday night (9/10/00). The boys chatted with Uber-DJ Meathead and Tripp played an acoustic version of "Was I Your Man?". Two lucky callers got free Hank Madison CDs as well. Thanks to x101.5 and Meathead for helping promote THIS FRIDAY'S SHOW AT FLOYD'S IN TALLAHASSEE.

HANK MADISON TO PLAY X101.5 FREE FEST: Catch an "acoustic" Hank Madison set in downtown Tallahassee at the X101.5 Free-Fest on Friday, June 23rd. skills.
A HANK MADISON "SISTER BAND"?: That's right. Hank Madison has joined
forces with Michael Carlucci (see him in the "Pad 13" video on the
Bigwater Enhanced CD) to form JACKIE O. MADISON. This will be an
"acoustic" version of the estrogen-challenged Hank Madison. When asked,
"why the name 'Jackie O. Madison?' " members replied, "because Hillary
Madison just doesn't have the same ring to it." True.
Be sure to catch them at the X101.5 FREE-FEST ON FRIDAY, JUNE 23RD and unsuspecting
coffeehouses everywhere. We're not even kidding.
HANKMADISON.COM STICKERS AVAILABLE -- FOR FREE: It's unbelievable, I know, but just email us a mailing address and we'll send you some nifty HankMadison.com stickers...free of charge. You can't beat that.

4/19/00 Hank Madison at the X101.5 Showcase and on the air!
This past weekend was a busy one for the band. Saturday night, the band
played to an excellent crowd at the AJ's/X101.5 Showcase in Tallahassee.
Lots of good responses and feedback. Hank Madison's performance was
videotaped, so keep an eye out for copies that should be made available
here. Thanks to Meathead, Kenzie, X101.5, AJ's and the man, Randy Rushe
for putting on a great event. The band would also like to thank all of
the other groups and especially Extra Strength Tylenol for helping out
with the hangover in the AM.
Then on Sunday, Tripp showed up to Meathead's "Underground Lounge" show
and played a new tune called "Lullabye" on acoustic for the listeners in
Tallahassee. Again thanks to X101.5 for supporting the band. "Swimming"
is the tune they're playing so give 'em a ring and request it...a lot.
Right now the boys are taking some time to learn new material to flesh
out their live set. Tripp's got (5) new songs and they're kicking around
some ideas for cool, obscure covers to throw in, too.
Aquil Salih brings the low end to Hank Madison!
We're pleased to announce Aquil Salih as the newest member of
Hank Madison. He'll be taking over the bass duties for the band, and
everybody's excited about the change. "Aquil brings a whole new
dimension to the band that I never thought was possible," says Tripp
Lanier, "...the energy, the groove...everything's been cranked up. We're
suddenly dangerous. I'm amazed." Aquil, who is also a bassist and
songwriter for Open Mind, has known Jack and Tripp for years. He's
currently attending FAMU and working in Tallahassee. Be sure to check
out Aquil and the boys at the upcoming shows listed below.
Hank Madison releases Flags and rocks Orlando!
Hank Madison played an energetic set at the very cool Kit Kat Club in
Orlando. Tons of friends and family showed up along with lots of new
Hank Madison fans. Discs were sold, friends were made, and hangovers
followed. Hank Madison played with El Tren Urbano from Puerto Rico and
the awesome Parafanelia. Parafanalia's diverse set rocked with lots of
latin flavor and even a killer spanish version of Depeche Mode's "Enjoy
the Silence." Keep an eye out for them. Thanks to all who came out and
a very special thanks to Cameron Moore and Parafanelia for hosting the
show.
